The mission of the Keuka Comfort Care Home is to provide a facility and staff to ensure compassionate care in a peaceful, home-like environment for our community's terminally ill residents and their families. We accomplish this by allowing our residents to live in a warm and loving atmosphere of support and encouragement during their final months of life. The home is located just south of Penn Yan, New York overlooking Keuka Lake.
The Memorial Garden is under the watchful eye of Master Gardener, Mable Pierle, and other faithful volunteers. The master plan for the entire property creates a serene, peaceful, and restful environment for our residents and their families. The plan has been designed to be expanded with various trees, shrubs and flower beds, perennials, annuals, stone benches, and bird baths.
Plantings and garden items will be added as memorials to loved-ones, or as honoraria to honor a living friend or relative. The Memorial Garden will be tended to by many caring volunteers.
If you wish to make a memorial donation, contact KCCH at 315.536.1690 and speak with a volunteer or staff member so that we can guide you through the donation process. For your convenience, KCCH will arrange the purchase and delivery of any plantings and items. They may be purchased at a nursery of your choice; however KCCH will make the arrangements. Donations must be made to the Keuka Comfort Care Home and are tax deductible.
With snow covering our gazebo, it is hard to look outside and imagine that the excitement and beauty of Spring is not too far off. The Board of Directors, Staff, and many volunteers are waiting patiently for the day we can get down and dirty and begin work on our Memorial Garden and Landscape Project. To the left, you will find information on gifting options if you wish to donate an item. For more information, you can contact Donna at KCCH by calling 315.536.1690 or email her at director@keukacomfortcarehome.org. If you are a volunteer and would like to help on this project, you can find more information on how you can help on the Volunteers Page.
