The 2020 Pandemic chanaged the way KCCH offered it’s fundraisers to the community.  Our 2020 Life is a Journey 10K run went virtual, and what a success it was! The virtual run netted over four times the amount raised last year!

Participation in “Life is a Journey…Run/Walk: Virtual COVID-19 Edition!” helped us continue to fulfill our mission to provide free, compassionate end of life care in a homelike setting to terminally ill residents of Yates County and surrounding communities and to support their loved ones.

A total of 457 individuals , representing states  from coast to coast and even Europe, walked or ran either the 22 mile “East Side Challenge” or 73 mile “Laker Challenge” and have collectively chalked up over 22,516 miles and raised $27,000!  That distance equates to 0ver 90% of the circumference of the world and the monies raised makes “Life is a Journey” one of KCCH’s and the community’s largest fundraising events.

The event planning team, KCCH’s staff, its many volunteers, the local community, and our residents and families extend our sincere and heart-felt thanks for all who participated.
